Why? Why had this man who had loved and seen the greatness of the Lord, turn so fully away from Him? Did he get so used to the prosperity that God had given him that he forgot who it came from? Did he start to think Asa could take care of Asa, and he didn't need the Lord? I don't know, but it is a very good possibility. Those of us who live in the United States need to take this to heart.

We are greatly blessed. Do we still need the Lord? Do we trust in Him, or is Visa or Mastercard enough to get us through? The day will come when we will all stand before the Lord in judgment. I hope and pray on that day I can honestly say I have wholly followed after the Lord, and have never turned back. We all have to make our own choices. God help us to make the right ones.
